If God exists, and promotes peace, love and equality. Why does evil exist?

If god is true. and god is as good as they say god is, god knows everything, god is the creator of everything, god loves everything. then this contradicts itself so much that it is so obvious god doesn't exist. There is just no logic. For example, if god knows everything, why did god create this world full of death, evil, pain and inequality? why are good people dying and children born with diseases and disabilities? if god knew this then why did god knowingly create it? giving us freedom of will? if god is so smart and knows that by doing so it is going to lead to all the disasters why do so in the first place? it must be a game to god. It seems that the god that religious people describe doesn't live up to its name and all i hear is that freedom of will crap which doesn't even make sense and contradicts itself.
