Whats the percentage of oxygen inhaled and exhaled?

my teacher told me, but my mind has just gone completely blank. i know we inhale 21% oxygen, and we exhale wither 16.8% or 18.6%.....pretty sure its 18.6% but im not too sure.....am i right???
