Why is my mom so protective and mean?

I'm 14 and my mom won't let me have a girlfriend my dad wont wither and all I do around my house is work and she doesn't make my sisters do anything aNd it annoys me. Also I would like it if you didn't answer it with " your parents love you and want to protect you" that's an easy answer that I don't want to hear
