"Media Card" folder not showing up in my VM rumor touch?

I have a VM rumor touch and i love my phone it just sucks that there is a block on what apps i want to download to them. I tried putting the a floder in my phones memory card called APPS just like that and then put .jar and .jad folders into them and then even turned my phone off and then on again but when i looked under main menu, my stuff, there was no media card! can someone please help and any website that you know that have reall apps that work would be great!! I hate how my phone never works! I did everything that hubpages.com said but it still didnt work!!
