I am currently a HS senior and have an interest in pursuing a career of Art Therapy and going to school for it?

Does anyone with experience in the field believe it would be better to major is psychology and then minor in art therapy? Or vice versa. Most of all, I really want to help anyone with problems, disabilities, or anything else. I really enjoy art as well and have been doing research on the career. Could someone please offer their valid opinions on the career and what to do for college?
