Need info on jad runescape?

well im bout to start the battle. so i hear when u get to jad than after he half dead that healers come to help him. now all the tutorials say distarct them and keep killing jad, but i hear that now they heal him even if there distarcted. so do i just ignore them and keep killing him or what?
