I just filed for disability benefits?

i was told that the ssa list of impairments is important to be approved, i researched the ssa impairment list and it states that impairments listed are severe enough to qualify for disability. and that if medical evidents supports impairment that no other criteria is needed to approve your claim is this somewhat true. because it also states that impairments listed are considered severe enough on there own to be disabling and that impairments listed will last 12 months or more this i read on the ssa website myself
