Ex gf confusion................?

I had a clinically depressed ex gf who constantly broke up with me whenever we had a disagreement pretty much. Shed then sleep around with other guys and then run back to me saying she was afraid of commitment but loved me. Sure enough she broke up again by the next arguement. About a year later i contacted her pretty much saying i didnt wanna live my life on bad terms with her and to find a friendship. All she did was talk about her new bf.... Too much it was weird. I wrote her a letter saying i still jad feelings for her but respect her choices and would rather be friends then nothing. She wrote back saying my letter made her remember the times we were together and she felt weird about it. She said she wouldnt mind being friends but not close friends, it would be too awkward. I replied i wanted nothing serious..... I never heard from her again. I dont get it? I know someone that knows her.... She never did stay with that guy but i found out recently she marriwd someone else and has a kid.
